NME Readership Profile
The magazine targets men aged 17-30. The average NME reader age is 25 and around 73% of its readers are male, with only 27% of its readers being female. This shows that although some females do read NME,the majority of its readers are male as this is NME's target audienece. 73% belong to ABC1 demographics, this gives an idea of the kind of work ,income and status the NME readers are of. The readers of NME are fairly young and trendy and are into music, films and technology. The fact that the majority of the readers are in the ABC1 demographics suggests that the readers have a fairly high disposable income. Therefore would be willing to pay £2.20 for a music magazine.
