Masthead:-
The Masthead is one of the first things that the readers will see. Therefore it's very important that it relates to the type of reader of the magazine.
- The White lettering on the black background is very bold which makes it stand out. This could reflect the lifestyle of the Kerrang reader because they could be very bold for example in their appearance or in their music taste as the style of rock music is definitely not to everybodys taste.
- -The cracks in the lettering looks like shattering glass, which portrays violence. This may be the type of music that the readers like which is why it's suggested on the front cover of the magazine.
- -The tattered edges of the letters of the masthead represent the style of music and clothing which appeals to the readers of Kerrang.
